Zeboiim was one of the "five cities of the plain" of Sodom, generally coupled with Admah. In Biblical Names the meaning of the name Zeboiim is: Deer, goats.
Zeboim was located on the fertile lands south of the Dead Sea. It was one of four population centers that in 1861 B.C., just one year before the birth of Isaac.
In Genesis 14:2–3 the kings of Admah and Zeboiim are mentioned as being part of an alliance that included the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah and several other kings in the vicinity. This coalition rebelled against Kedorlaomar king of Elam and his allies who had subjugated them.
